저의 아버님은 89세이십니다. 지금도 매일 신간이나 읽고 싶었던 책을 사서 읽으십니다. 또한, 일상을 시로 표현하십니다. 그래서 가끔 시를 써서 메일로 가족이나 친구에게 보내주십니다. 며칠 전 보내주신 시 가운데 같이 나누면 좋겠다 싶은 시가 있어 소개해 드립니다.

처음 가는 길

사람이 태어나서

세상을 살아가는 길은

언제나 처음 가는 길입니다

사람이 누가 두 번 태어납니까?

누구나 한번 태어나서 살아가는 인생길은

언제나 처음 가는 길을 살아왔습니다

그러나 이제 많은 세월을 살고

살아온 날보다 살아갈 날이

얼마나 남았을까 생각하면서

많은 사람은 처음 경험해야 할

남은 날을 두려워합니다

그것은 죽음이 가까워져 오기 때문입니다

노인의 때를 황혼이라 하지요

서산에 해가 얼마 남지 않았기 때문이지요

그러나 걱정하지 맙시다

석양이 얼마나 아름답습니까

우리의 마지막 처음 가는 인생길은

황혼처럼 아름다운 길입니다

황혼이 지고 나면 밤이 오지요

우리는 이 밤에 평안히 쉴 것입니다

소망 없는 사람들은

황혼을 무서워하지만

영원한 하나님 나라를 바라보고 사는 우리는

마지막으로 처음 맞이하는

이 황혼 길을 지나면

주님이 예비하신 영원한 하나님 나라에 들어갈 것이니

인생의 이 마지막 황혼길을 즐기며 살아갑시다

친구여!

사랑하는 벗들이여!

우리를 위해 예비하신 그날을 바라보며

감사하며 기쁨으로 살아갑시다.
